| Here I am using my scale drawings to lay out the individual pieces. I started with the side panels, and was able to get most of the other pieces out of the second sheet. You need a nice long straight edge to help lay out the pieces, like one of these. I draw my lines to the exact dimensions of the final piece; when making the initial cuts, I leave about 1/8" - 1/4" of material outside of the line. Note that I only had to lay out one of the side panels because after cutting the first one, I just used it to trace the other one. |
